Acting for People
Caring for our employees and local communitiesCEVA Logistics works hard to provide a positive working environment. This includes promoting a culture of health and safety in the workplace, competitive compensation and talent management policies, as well as diversity and inclusion to favor both engagement and integration of all categories of disadvantaged communities.
CEVA Logistics is acting for People through three main paths:
1. Protecting our staff members
Health & Safety
CEVA Logistics has defined a global HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) vision, aligned with our values:
- To continuously improve standards and behaviors
- To work safely and with respect for the environment
- To bring value to customers through HSE support programs
CEVA Logistics’ health and safety policy is deployed at all levels of the company and all employees are committed to
actively contributing to the achievement of its objectives.
At CEVA, we aim to reduce the frequency rate of workplace accidents by 30% in 2025 compared to 2021.
2. Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with our Employer of Choice strategy, we are committed to conducting a Living Wage analysis in the 100+ countries in which we operate. Our goal is to promote fair wages and decent living conditions for our employees. We started the pilot with 8 countries in 2023.
This study compares the income and benefits required for a household to meet its basic needs, such as housing, food, healthcare and education, in a particular geographical region, taking into account employees’ situations. An official certification will be issued by the Fair Wage service provider. This certification is recognized by many of the Group’s customers.
Worldwide, CEVA respects employees’ right to form labor unions or join active workers’ committees.
CEVA employees all have access to reimbursements of medical expenses, either through the government social security system or through the health cover offered by the company. In addition, CEVA employees are covered by a personal protection plan, which enables them to protect their families against the financial consequences in the event of the employee’s death.
3. Promoting education and training
We strive to offer every employee three days of training per year, regardless of their role, location or duration of employment with CEVA.
Our aim is to ensure that robust performance appraisals are in place everywhere, to identify talent and offer opportunities for internal mobility; and, finally, to ensure that each individual has the opportunity to cultivate their skills and achieve their career aspirations. We are committed to fostering an environment that supports personal and professional growth.
All white collar employees have access to the CMA CGM Academy, which hosts a range of online trainings covering both technical and interpersonal skills. We are offering Climate School trainings, in partnership with Axa Climate, with the aim of training all employees in the causes and consequences of global warming. A series of e-learning modules is available, including “Understanding”, which covers the scientific fundamentals of climate change, and “Acting”, which is specific to business lines.
4. Supporting equity, diversity and inclusion
We are a vast global business with a wide range of employees, representing the full variety of ethnicities, genders, sexualities, ages, disabilities and beliefs. We recognize that our diverse employees contribute different knowledge and perspectives, which strengthen our service offerings, business practices and relationships with our customers.
We work to provide a positive environment in which every employee feels valued and respected and is supported in reaching their full potential. Gender equality is a key priority in our program. In France, every year, CEVA Logistics teams celebrate International Women’s Day worldwide, highlighting the achievements of its female workforce.
We also encourage volunteering. In 2023, a Volunteering Time Off (VTO) program has been implemented in APAC, allowing all employees to have 3 paid workdays to do volunteering each day, allowing them to engage locally in the field they value most: Animal Welfare, Children, Community Involvement, DE&I, Education, Environment, Fighting Poverty, Health. In 2024, the program has been launched in 8 pilot countries worldwide – Egypt, France, Mexico, Peru, Singapore, Thailand, Uganda, and UKI – with our partner platform Vendredi. The aim is to extend this program to all 100 countries in which CEVA is implanted worldwide in 2025.
