PROJECT OVERVIEW

CEVA Industrial Projects & Energy Solutions (IP&ES) in Benelux is supporting VAMED Nederland to strengthen the health services in Northern Province, Sri Lanka. The team has been tasked with turnkey construction and equipment of 2 district general hospitals and 2 base hospitals.

Our customer's business challenges

VAMED is currently undertaking a major project to strengthen the health services in Northern Sri Lanka, undertaking turnkey construction and equipment of 2 district general hospitals and 2 base hospitalsThe objective of the project is to develop facilities in the underserved Northern province, following the conflict which has been resolved in 2009.

TRANSFORMATION STORY

Our key actions to meet our customers' expectations

CEVA has provided VAMED with full logistics and support, together with CMA CGM. CEVA employees handled all the commodities, such as medical devices, furniture, and other accessories, in the CEVA facility in Bleiswijk, Netherlands, with an area of 300 sqm dedicated to the customer. 

Activities include: 

  • CEVA Ground collected goods from the European suppliers
  • Goods receipt in the warehouse, including checks and counts, re-packing, storage, inbound, outbounds, consolidation and container trucking
  • Customs services
  • Ocean freight, with support from CMA CGM, and delivery to the site in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
