Multi-modal transport solution for peak holiday season

Leveraging its expansive global logistics network, CEVA implemented a customized multi-modal transport solution. This approach combined around 6,000 kilometers of ground transport via truck from East China to Tashkent, Uzbekistan where shipments underwent customs preparation before being transferred to southern Spain via air. This integrated solution dramatically reduced the transit time to just 9-14 days, nearly half the timeframe the customer initially requested.  

The multimodal approach—ground plus air—as opposed to the former solution of only leveraging air freight from China to Spain resulted in over 30% cost savings—all without compromising on speed or reliability. By using ground transport rather than exclusive air freight, the solution also lowered the shipments’ carbon footprint by approximately 19%. In the future, CEVA will add more destinations like Armenia, as well as other European countries besides Spain, to this ground-air multimodal solution.
