Organising the logistics of this large scale event requires a team with the right expertise and knowledge of managing the movement of logistics at this scale, safely.

The Kennel Club event organisers have multiple stakeholders to deliver on behalf across an event arena of 100,000+ m2 of exhibition space hosting 1,500 exhibitors and require a logistics provider who delivers smooth operations, constantly communicates and has the ability to problem-solve under pressure.

With the event attracting over 166,000 visitors an audience reach of 1 billion and the crowning of the show champion broadcast on live television across the world, the reputation of the event organisers is paramount.

Our key actions to fulfil our customer's ambitions

A dedicated on-site team handle the logistics, arranging the delivery of stands and stock from all over the UK to the exhibitors' at Birmingham's NEC.

A fleet of forktrucks and electric pallet trucks, ensure the stock is moved quickly and safely during the event build and breakdown. The Showfreight team are onsite five days before the show opens and work through the night on the final closeout to ensure every customer has all the support needed to the very end.

In addition to building and arranging the layout of the stands, it is often necessary to lift and move huge loads. Key facts concerning include;

the exhibition site covers more than 101171 m², over 5 halls, hosting 1,500 exhibitors
we have to cater to more than 5,000 m² of storage space for empty creates
10,000 tonnes of freight and more than 40,000 vehicles are moved into and out of the site for the show
