Under the leadership of the CMA CGM Group, its parent company, CEVA Logistics, is strongly committed to protecting the environment. The CMA CGM Group has committed to becoming Net zero carbon by 2050. Across the Formula One season, CEVA Logistics will utilize LNG-powered vessels for Scuderia Ferrari’s Sea shipments to race sites worldwide. Meanwhile, Scuderia Ferrari’s F1 engines will be powered by ethanol fuel starting this year. By 2026, the race cars will be using biofuels, and by 2030, Formula 1 aims to be Net zero carbon.
The logistics operations behind racing sports is highly complex, fast-paced and time-critical. There’s no one size fits all, and external conditions such as weather and traffic often add to the complexities.
Scuderia Ferrari has chosen CEVA Logistics as Official Logistics Partner under multi-year agreement to support Ferrari’s racing activities. Relying on our leading global network across air, land and sea, our team ensures the road and sea shipments for Scuderia Ferrari cars and equipment to race sites around the world.
The Official Logistics Partner agreement covers both the F1 and GT racing series. In the course of this partnership, the fully-committed CEVA Logistics team will support car and equipment shipments to Scuderia Ferrari event destinations. The 2023 Formula 1 world championship includes 23 races beginning on March 5 in Bahrain and ending on November 26 in Abu Dhabi.
For CEVA Logistics, the race does not end at the finish line. After each race, it is another race for the CEVA Logistics team. At times, the Formula 1 championship and events happen from one week to another, leaving only a couple of days for the team to disassemble, re-pack, and transport all equipment and resources to the right destination. To ensure that the shipments arrive at the right place at the right time, requires detailed orchestration of logistics flows from our team of experts, high-degree of visibility monitored from our logistics control towers and seamless coordination while being constantly connected.
