(*) The United States officially implemented a tariff exemption for smartphones, including iPhones, and other electronics. This exemption was announced on April 11, 2025, and applies retroactively to goods entered for consumption on or after 12:01 a.m. EDT on April 5, 2025. The exemption was formalized through an Executive Order and detailed guidance from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), covering specific Harmonized Tariff Schedule codes for smartphones, computers, and related components.
