For more than twenty years, CEVA Logistics has provided logistical support for the London marathon, ensuring the belongings of runners were available at the finish line. The London Marathon typically attracts around 50,000 hopeful runners on the 26.2-mile route starting at Greenwich Park and finishing on the world-famous The Mall. CEVA Logistics collected the runners’ gear at various drop-off points near the start line and then transported them to the collection point at the finish line.

The scale of the bag drop operation is significant, requiring 38 44-ton articulated trucks and ten vans of various sizes. Early on Sunday morning, marathon participants used the bag drop-off service at various starting points and a team of 51 CEVA employees worked hard to ensure all runner’s personal belongings were available to them at the end of their incredible achievement.
