Mathieu Friedberg, CEO and Olivier Storch, Deputy CEO of Finance, Support and Transformation at CEVA Logistics, delivered powerful speeches at the opening of the Salon International du Transport et de la Logistique (SITL) 2024 exhibition in Paris today (March 19, 2024).

Friedberg and Storch called for increased innovation and sustainability within the logistics sector and outlined how CEVA Logistics is lighting the way on both, as a global leader in supply chain management.

In his keynote address, Mathieu Friedberg outlined the pivotal role of sustainability, digitalization, and artificial intelligence in transforming the logistics landscape. Olivier Storch provided insights into the logistics solutions devised for the success of the 2024 Olympic Games. Storch highlighted the complexity of orchestrating international air and sea transport from over 100 countries, alongside customs operations and storage services across 80,000 square meters of dedicated warehouses. Additionally, he emphasized CEVA’s critical role in managing logistics and handling at the Olympic Village and over 30 venues, necessitating the establishment of a comprehensive control tower for seamless coordination.

From trialing logistics operations to ramping up efforts in assembling rooms at the Olympic Village, CEVA is committed to ensuring the smooth execution of the Games. With a team of specialists from different departments, including maritime, air, and land transport, CEVA Logistics is well-equipped to navigate the Olympics' multifaceted logistical challenges. CEVA has experts in managing event logistics, as the company handles the logistics for Scuderia Ferrari, and project managed the Rio games.

Furthermore, Storch reiterated CEVA Logistics' unwavering commitment to sustainable development, aligning with the overarching theme of the Paris 2024 Games. By prioritizing green solutions, such as electric trucks, biofuel, cargo bikes, and barges on the Seine, CEVA aims to reduce emissions and uphold environmental stewardship.
