CEVA Logistics efforts to improve sustainability in the global supply chain were recently recognized as leading industry publication Inbound Logistics once again named CEVA G75 Green Supply Chain Partner. The honor is awarded to organizations that have demonstrated a strong commitment to global supply chain sustainability and corporate social responsibility. The selection process, undertaken by industry editors with a deep understanding of the global logistics and freight industry, acknowledges companies actively developing and implementing sustainability best practices.
While the award primarily highlights CEVA's efforts in North America, it aligns with the company's global mission to operate ethically and sustainably across all aspects of its operations, from warehousing and transportation to procurement and engineering new low carbon solutions with partners.
CEVA's recognition as a Green Supply Chain Partner is a testament to its comprehensive decarbonization efforts. The company has invested in energy-efficient warehouses, embraced fuel alternatives and is continuously expanding its fleet of electric vehicles. Additionally, CEVA offers a wide range of low-carbon logistics solutions, leveraging technology and innovation to increase carbon emissions visibility for customers and provide more sustainable transportation models and routes.
As part of the CMA CGM Group, CEVA is committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. The company's commitment to sustainability is further exemplified by its extensive use of solar panels, covering an impressive 773,000m2, and the implementation of LED lighting across 84% of its global warehouses. These concerted efforts resulted in a 10% reduction in CO2e emissions compared to 2022.
Focusing on North America in the last year, more than 300 employees cleaned parks, schools and recreational areas across all CEVA sites in Mexico, and the employees of the Mississauga, Toronto facility are halfway to the goal of planting one million trees by 2032, engaging with local communities to increase public green spaces.
In addition, Bolloré Logistics, now under the CEVA Logistics brand, was also recognized as a G75 Green Supply Chain Partner. Bolloré Logistics is committed to reducing consumable packaging and is investing in reusable pallet covers, pallet wraps, straps, and more, which have resulted in the reduction of more than two tons of plastic since 2021.
