CEVA Logistics launches the fastest Less than Truckload (LTL) service between China and Europe

 

• CEVA drastically reduces lead times from China to Europe with a unique service offering the fastest delivery on the market

Marseille, December 9th 2020, CEVA Logistics has launched a unique, rapid LTL service between China and Europe to serve customers who do not have sufficient volumes to support Full Truckload Shipments (FTL). Emerging small to medium enterprises (SMEs), large local companies (LLAs) and multinational corporations will benefit from this new service offering drastically reduced lead times from China to Europe.

 

Drastically reduced LTL lead times

CEVA Logistics’ new rapid LTL service outbound from China reduces existing lead-time drastically and is designed to offer customers an “all-inclusive” LTL service with the same lead time as FTL. CEVA Logistics designed this unique wholly owned service to meet its customers’ needs.

The new service operates two to three times a week (subject to demand) on Tuesday/Thursday and Saturday. The Saturday schedule will also accept Li-Battery shipments (DG Class 9 Li-Battery). Drivers on this service have been specially trained and hold all requested Dangerous Goods licenses for safety TIR transport.

 

Service will take 12 days under TIR coverage

Rapid LTL will be offered from hubs located in Shenzhen, Suzhou, Qingdao, Tianjin, Alashankou, and Khorgos. Established destination hubs in Europe are located in Poland, Germany and the UK. Shipments to and from Europe will be operated via Alashankou or Khorgos. The Hub-to-Hub delivery takes 12 days under TIR coverage. The shipment from European Hubs to the final destination will take 2-3 days.

Consolidating CEVA Logistics’ position as leader in the China-Europe TIR market

As the TIR trucking pioneer between China and Europe, CEVA Logistics sees huge potential in the new LTL service and expects to consolidate further its position as number one in the TIR market between China and Europe. An extension of the service to South East Asia is currently in preparation and will likely be available before the year end.

The service will operate year-round with winter conditions only expected to add 1-2 days to the overall journey time.
