Marseille, France February 24th 2020, The French Ambassador to the USA, HE Philippe Etienne paid a visit to CEVA Logistics' mega-warehouse network in Nashville, Tennessee on Friday evening to see the impact of the French-owned company's investment on the local economy. Philippe Etienne toured the area as part of a goodwill visit to meet with political, business and university leaders and review the impact of international investment in the Nashville area.
He was shown around three of CEVA's facilities at Mount Juliet including a 1.4 million square foot facility which it operates on behalf of several major technology companies. He saw how, in addition to state-of-the-art automation and investment in French leading-edge warehouse technology, more jobs are also being created to deliver the company's eCommerce supply chain solutions of the future.
More than 300 jobs have been created in the last two years and an additional 300 are projected to be created over the next 18 months. CEVA is one of the top three employers in Wilson County, where the Mount Juliet facility is based, with a 1,200 strong workforce.
Says Dominik Dittrich, CEVA's Executive Vice President Contract Logistics, North America: "This mega-fulfillment center is the ideal showcase for the Ambassador to see French investment in action. At CEVA we believe we have an important role to play in supporting the regional economy. In addition to providing employment for the local community, we also make a point of purchasing products, solutions and services locally. It’s a win-win combination".
