MILAN – Nov. 24, 2023 – Assologistica held its annual Logistics of the Year Award ceremony yesterday. The event is one of the most anticipated events in the national logistics sector in Italy. CEVA Logistics received the prestigious Logistics of the Year Award in the Innovation in Training category for its LEAD2CEVA leadership training and development program in collaboration with POLIMI Graduate School of Management, the business school of Milan Polytechnic.

CEVA Logistics launched the skills development and leadership program in Italy in 2022, aiming to accompany the professional evolution of its employees and enhance the necessary skills for assuming leadership positions within the company. In 2023, 75 employees were involved, selected through structured assessments and performance evaluations over the last three years.

Designed by CEVA to include academic courses from POLIMI Graduate School of Management, the talent development program was designed to bring local CEVA managers in Italy face-to-face with the essential skills required for effective decision-making and successful group leadership. Specifically, courses on leadership and people management were included to focus on leadership skills and optimal team management, from motivation to emotional intelligence. Participants had the opportunity to choose additional topics for in-depth exploration based on their needs.

Even in a rapidly changing market, training represents a fundamental pillar. Our commitment to gender parity and diversity was also reflected in the extremely diverse and gender-balanced composition of the management team who actively participated in this development training initiative.”

Mauro Mancini, associate dean for corporate relations at POLIMI Graduate School of Management, said: “Tailored training is one of the hallmarks of our offerings. At POLIMI Graduate School of Management we support companies in their transformation and innovation paths with upskilling and reskilling training programs designed to inspire, transfer knowledge and develop the entire corporate human capital. We started from a needs analysis to build together a unique path, totally customized and consistent with the culture, processes and organization of a leading logistics company.
