In today's business landscape, demonstrating transparency and accountability allows partnerships to deepen through trust. By regularly publishing its CSR report, CEVA Logistics aims to engage with its customers, employees, industry partners and its local communities, showcasing its commitment to ethical practices and sustainable development. CEVA’s annual report highlights its company's values, explains its focus on responsible business practices, and drives its continuous improvement through social and environmental initiatives.

"The world continues to change around us, and as a company with a strong CSR commitment, we remain focused on finding “Better Ways” of transporting goods worldwide,” said Mathieu Friedberg, CEO of CEVA Logistics.

In 2024, we launched CEVA FORPLANET, enabling our customers to reduce the environmental impact of their supply chains by leveraging a range of low carbon transport and circular economy solutions. We are taking operations tangible action today with an eye on the solutions of tomorrow.”

CEVA Logistics unlocks value at every step of the supply chain by connecting people, products and providers all around the world. In connection with its corporate values, the company is committed to being an ethical and sustainable part of the global economy. As part of the CMA CGM Group, CEVA contributes detailed information each year for the Group’s CSR report. The 2024 CEVA Logistics Executive Report provides a quick overview of the company’s progress across the three main pillars of its CSR platform.

In 2024, EcoVadis awarded CEVA a Gold Medal and score of 76/100, placing CEVA among the top 1 percent of logistics industry leaders and representing a 12-point improvement compared to 2023. The assessment evaluated CEVA’s sustainability performance in four key categories: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. This achievement recognizes CEVA’s commitment to CSR and to improving the logistics industry as a whole.

Actions across three pillars

The foundation of CEVA’s CSR strategy is based on three pillars, aligned with that of its parent company, the CMA CGM Group.

  • Acting for People: caring for employees and local communities where CEVA does work and business.

  • Acting for Planet: contributing to a growth model that respects the environment and natural resources.

  • Acting for Fair Trade: building a responsible, ethical value chain in collaboration with partners, customers and suppliers.

Sustainable logistics requires collaboration

As part of CEVA’s pursuit to reduce its Scope 1 emissions, the company currently counts 520 battery-electric trucks and vans across its operations, saving more than 11,000 tons of CO2e per year. CEVA plans to continue increasing this number in 2025 with a goal of more than 650 battery electric trucks in service worldwide, and to pursue the development of other technologies (biodiesel, biogas, hydrogen fuel cell).

Regarding Scope 2 emissions, CEVA increased its solar panel coverage to nearly 800,000m2 of solar panels and has reached 69 percent low carbon electricity coverage globally. CEVA is also updating warehouse lighting across its global sites with currently 91 percent of facilities using LED lighting.

In terms of Scope 3 emissions, more than 950 percent of CEVA’s emissions come from the transport it purchases for its customers. As a result, CEVA is using its global reach and expertise in the industry to encourage and support the advancement of alternative fuels in ocean, road and air freight.

With freight and logistics representing 10 percent of all greenhouse gas emissions, the global supply chain must work together with their logistics partners, suppliers, and carriers to reach their decarbonization goals. In 2024, CEVA Logistics took the next step in its journey to net zero with the launch of CEVA FORPLANET— a suite of sustainable logistics solutions. The solutions focus on measuring, optimizing, and shifting to low carbon transport, as well as deploying reusable packaging and reverse logistics solutions to promote circular economies. The company offers a range of technology-powered solutions around data and AI to provide CO2 visibility and reporting.
