Hubert joined Kyowa Kirin International, in 2019, as Head of European Distribution, with mission to migrate the company from branded generics to a rare disease company. Prior to this, he was Head of European Distribution and Global Transportation at Celgene and has led the launch of Revlimid and Vidaza in the EMEA region and integrate the acquisition of Pharmion into Celgene in Europe. Hubert is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in finance and logistics in international and multinational companies including GE and Amgen.

Chris Wallace

Chris is a seasoned international supply chain professional with over 30 years’ experience, having worked for several blue chip companies in many industries, including 3rd party logistics services, automotive, medical device, nuclear fuels, and biotech/pharmaceuticals. Based in Switzerland, he has been involved in life science - biotech/pharmaceuticals and medical device - for the last 20 years of his career and is currently SVP Global Supply Chain at Clover Biopharmaceutical. Chris is a well-known conference speaker and has presented at Business Dialogue, IQPC, WBR and Arena International, amongst others, on many topics, including Final Mile Distribution, Developments in Temperature Controlled supply chains in Emerging Markets and many active case studies.

Jo Pisani

Strategic Healthcare Advisor

Board member of LifeArc, UK Dementia Research Institute and MedCity

After a 30 year career in industry and consulting, Jo now focuses on supporting charities, universities and business start-ups. Jo is on the board of, the UK Dementia Research Institute, LifeArc, MedCity, London Advanced Therapies, The RSA Group and Findacure. She is a non-exec director for startups focused on innovation in Lifesciences, including Ostique, SB3000 and elem.bio. Prior to this, Jo led PwC’s UK Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences practice and started her career with BP and GSK. She is a passionate supporter of critical public health issues, such as tackling dementia, addressing anti-microbial resistance and improving diagnosis and Fremantle of rare diseases.

His previous positions include Business Development Director Healthcare for DSV and VP Healthcare Europe for UPS' Healthcare and Life Science Sector.

Umang Patel

Director of NHS services

Babylon

Umang is the Director of NHS services at Babylon; he spends time making sure that safe, effective, and personalised healthcare is available to everyone, everywhere. He is also an NHS Paediatrician; he can be found treating children at Frimley Park Hospital on Fridays. During his medical training, Umang realised that there needed to be more clinicians that understood and actively engaged in health management. To bridge the gap between clinicians and managers, he joined the NHS Leadership Academy as a Clinical Fellow in 2012. This set him on an alternative medical career path which included being Head of Clinical Transformation at Aviva UK Health, where he was responsible for a series of new initiatives in the model of healthcare delivery. Umang has been at Babylon since the early days, joining as employee number 10, enjoying the rollercoaster that is start-up to scale-up.
