Our Ground and Rail business have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and meticulous Head of Solutions Design and Pricing where you will lead a regional team that is responsible for designing optimum solutions for our clients enabling and maximising growth and profitability through new business wins and contract renewals.  


This critical role will see you defining the solutions design and pricing strategy for the Ground and Rail business, where you will collaborate with northwest European colleagues to implement and manage performance, capabilities, and business approach.




Reporting into the Ground and Rail Product Head for northwest Europe, you will lead and inspire a team of nine experienced solutions design and pricing professionals across northwest Europe where you will embed a culture that drives high performance, continuous improvement, cooperation, and engagement.


You will implement transportation solutions that deliver value to our customers through the creation and management of technical solutions and commercial concepts from creation to completion. You will develop and implement pricing solutions, tools, and methodologies with a focus on shipment profitability, pricing performance, market intelligence, cost modelling and reporting, rate and margin analysis and ad-hoc pricing requirements that support new business proposals and contract renewals.


You will also execute and enable a strong commercial ethos, supporting sales negotiations with effective solutions design and pricing structures and drive business decisions for tariff and taxes revisions based on local inflation in alignment with commercial functions and countries.  




To be successful in your application, you must be able to demonstrate substantial transportation and freight management knowledge, practiced in leading and managing sizable transportation operations with excellent leadership skills, capable of motivating and inspiring remotely based teams. You will have proven solutions design or pricing experience, with the ability communicating technical operational solutions, pricing, and topics to internal and external customers.


You will have expertise in process engineering and improvement methodologies, skilled in project and change management with strong commercial knowledge and statistical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. It goes without saying that you will be a strong collaborator, influencer, and decision-maker with superb communication and collaboration skills.


Desired skills:


  • BA/BSc in supply chain, engineering, or transportation management.
  • Experienced in implementing TMS solutions.
  • Experienced in RFP process management or vendor selection.
