Team Leader - 2nd Shift Quality Control

Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of a corporate quality management system for the contract site.

SUMMARY

Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of a corporate quality management system for the contract site. Responsible for maintaining all training records and documentation associated with the quality system.  Provide direction to all management and floor employees to ensure quality systems are maintained and followed.  Maintain internal auditing to ISO requirements and upkeep of the company’s quality management system.  Distribute work assignments to hourly staff pertaining to quality responsibilities. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Supply information for responding to customer inquiries and non-conformance by providing knowledge, expertise and guidance within the Quality Program.
  • Monitor internal auditing program and delegating work activity to internal auditors.  Monitor database of internal auditors for accuracy and consistency.
  • Use continuous improvement tools to mitigate non-conformance with the customer, which includes team-building sessions with employees for effective input.
  • Assist Ceva Corporate Manager when external audits are performed by serving as the primary point of contact for the site. Conduct pre-Audits of the program to find any inefficiencies.
  • Maintain and update quality system documentation to include quality manual and procedure manual.  Maintain the Quality Share Point Site for uploading all documents that meet the requirement for the Quality System at Ceva.  Use all specified Logs for tracking changes in documentation to meet audit specifications. Create tracking system for documents if needed.
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s quality policies, procedures and guidelines. Escalate to management if non-compliancy exists.
  • Responsible for administrative activities, development/monitoring of KPI’s and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Create and implement cost savings through LEAN initiatives.
  • Be a contributing member on any special projects (I.E Kaizen, Shortage, Efficiency or Quality projects) as defined by the operations manager and or general manager.
  • Highlight any areas of non-conformity and implement relevant corrective action and process improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:  

  • Ability to allocate work assignments to internal auditors for inspecting kits.  Monitor their performance and balance the workload.  Report to managers for any issues or concerns.
  • Capable of communicating and interacting effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds and ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, suppliers and customer service representatives.
  • Computer literate. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook), internet, web-based and job specific related software applications.
  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to think and respond quickly to changing priorities. Effective planning and organizational skills. Ability to work independently, completing assigned work tasks with a minimal amount of supervision.
  • Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs and solicits customer feedback to improve performance.
  • Ability to develop and document processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborate with internal and external resources to include working with the customer on improvements to enhance the quality program development.
  • High degree of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition; handling stress in a manner that is acceptable to others and the organization.
  • Ability to support team members in furthering departmental goals through open and honest communication, promoting team interests over self-interest.
  • Ability to use Independent Judgment in making decision.  Use clear communication in presenting issues and concerns to management.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

 

Minimum:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of quality experience in a quality distribution or Sequencing Production Facility.
  • Minimum 2 years knowledge of audit control process and procedures.
  • Background in quality with quality program development and focus on quality assurance.

Preferred:

  • Associates Degree. 
  • ISO Certification.
