Our award winning Showfreight team have the experience, flexibility, speed, and commitment to deliver exhibition goods anywhere in the world where we deliver on time, every time! We provide specialist logistics services for the exhibition and wider events sector, and we are looking to recruit a dynamic and knowledgeable Senior Freight Forwarder where you will provide operational excellence and solutions through shipping services and on-site handling/final mile delivery for air, ocean, and ground freight movements.
You will become a key member of the international team delivering operational excellence to our clients. Therefore, this high-profile role will require you to take a flexible approach towards worldwide travel.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the Branch Manager you will take ownership for coordinating the movement of freight to and from exhibitions worldwide via ground, ocean and air including handling all customs paperwork whilst adhering to local legislative and compliance regulations. You will be responsible for negotiating rates with suppliers and carriers, creating quotes and invoices. You will be expected to proactively resolve any issues or delays and communicate effectively with the client and suppliers to ensure successful delivery of our services.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate will be a solution orientated individual, who will be operating in a senior freight forwarding position working in a multimodal freight environment within project forwarding and have a solid understanding of global transport logistics and customs clearances. You’ll need to be an exceptional communicator able to demonstrate a proven track record of building and developing exceptional internal and external relationships.
It goes without saying that you will be customer centric, highly organised with a high attention to detail, you will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, be IT literate with the ability to use MS Office packages and a keen interest in learning new systems when required.
It would be desirable however not essential if you have previously worked within the events or exhibitions industry.
