YOUR ROLE


Responsible for qualifying and activating Transportation Vendors. Performs other clerical functions related to qualification administration and recordkeeping to ensure regulatory compliance. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
 

  • Monitor and maintain transportation vendors qualification within CEVA database
  • Perform and review pre-qualifying transportation vendors within FMCSA system to meet CEVA standards.
  • Update and perform data entry into CEVA transportation vendor program for contract override or contract rules
  • Issue decline notification of a transportation vendor to appropriate CEVA station management
  • Issue transportation vendor status reports to the field and management.
  •  Monitor and maintain transportation vendor status, and update files accordingly.
  • Respond to incoming calls.
  • Train field personnel for transportation vendor pre-qualifications and on-going compliance
  • Obtain and maintain all transportation vendor and independent contractor tariffs, ensuring the tariffs are in a standard format for auto rating
  • Complete data entry and maintain tariffs in CEVA finance system for auto payment to said vendor
  • Create and/or maintain weekly fuel tables for transportation vendors and independent contractors
  • Run daily reports for identification of CEVA Financial Fail Ratings regarding tariff entry error
  • Correct Financial Fail Ratings daily based on reports
  • Work with appropriate IT Department as required for tariff issues and/or new tariff templates
  • Review, research and resolve issues within CEVA vendor applications
  • Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and company policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED require
  • One year or more related experience in similar role in transportation or supply chain industry

 

Languages and Communication Skills:

 

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for communication and interact effectively with people from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees, and vendors.

 

Computer Skills

 

  •  Intermediate proficiency with the Microsoft Suite of applications for Microsoft 365 including Excel, Word, Share Point Sites, internet.

 

Other Skills/Experience

 

  • Knowledgeable in the administration of DOT/FMCSA regulations
  • Requires self-starter with high level of motivation.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, analytical skills and ability to understand processes.
  • Proven organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • Requires excellent people skills and the ability to communicate in a confident and professional manner.
  • Strong written communication skills and diligence to details.
  •  Ability to manage sensitive and/or confidential documents and information.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and complete all projects in a timely manner.
  •  Must be a strong team player.
  • Ability to work independently while following established policy and procedures.
  • Ability to support team members in furthering departmental goals through open and honest communication, promoting team interests over self-interest.
