Own the CEVA Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) global process, training, and compliance as well as assist the Pyramid Lines Director with oversight of FMC registration and licensing renewals. Be the Global point of contact for any operational and regulatory requests with regards to FMC. Ensure FMC regulatory requirements are properly followed across the globe. 




  • Provide recommendations to stakeholders with all aspects of FMC compliance including regularly analyzing the compliance risks, other broad range of analytical tasks, including researching and analyzing trends in the ocean product industry, analyzing data and global FMC penalty trends; developing and producing management reports, penalty report, and training materials/presentations; tracking and coordinating international shipments for strategy analyses and corrective actions; and recommending and implementing changes to maintain a cost and service advantage.
  • Lead the overall FMC process across the globe. Responsible for creating, updating the FMC process and Work Instructions, and implementing them throughout the regions
  • Responsible for training materials and coordination with country and regional subject matter experts as it relates to training arrangements for all Ocean Ops, Ocean Procurement Team, Business Development, and Account Management team for all regions on FMC process and guidelines (filing, compliance rules, reporting…)
  • Maintain content and coordinate updates of FMC LMS e-learning module in C-People
  • Monitor the TLI filing, NRA filing and NSA filing and review with the appropriate stakeholders
  • Responsible for compiling and analysis of the monthly global FMC Audit Report
  • Lead and provide oversight of the TLI Filing through Catapult (GF4040)
  • Responsible for updating and communicating Tariff Filing Rules and General Tariff updates
  • Assist and coordinate with Pyramid Lines’ Director regarding FMC 18 registration updates for OTI Ocean Freight Forwarding and NVOCC licensing renewal as well as FMC-68 Bond updates
  • Responsible for communicating FMC regulatory updates through the organization
  • Responsible for reviewing and communicating FMC penalties
  • Collaborate and coordinate with Pyramid Lines’ Director regarding issuance of annual Power of Attorney’s to Ocean Transportation Procurement and IP&ES Team
  • Assist NORTAM legal team in reviewing master service agreements, contract clauses, volume incentive plans (VIP) that relates to FMC regulations and recommend appropriate verbiage.





  • Degree in International Business or Logistics
  • 5+ years’ experience in business or logistics industry – operational savvy
  • Project Implementation Experience
  • Executive level interaction and presentation skills.
  • Experienced in FMC and Compliance
  • Global leadership/communications



  • Communications on all levels/driving change across organization (should be able to hold regular communications on Executive Board level as well as help to resolve escalations and processes adoption issues on all level down to a small station).

Travel: International travel 20 - 30%
