As a Senior Technical Training Specialist, you will prepare and implement technical training courses, job aids, and other supporting materials related to the operation and administration of the Shipwire platform and related tools used by the organization (Jira, SharePoint, Confluence, etc.). You will collaborate with various stakeholders from across the Shipwire ecosystem as you develop and deploy learning and reference content. You will develop training content for delivery by means of instructor-led training (both in-person and virtual), eLearning modules, videos, job aids, documentation, and blended learning modalities. You will be responsible for adapting the training material to suit the roles and responsibilities of teams across the organization. You will also play a key role in the onboarding of new Shipwire associates and affiliated partners. You have a strong technical background in training and have a penchant for teaching others. You must possess exceptional problem-solving skills, a strong work ethic, show initiative, demonstrate self-determination, and exhibit solid communication skills. Telecommuting options are available per department need, the home location of this position will be determined based off the incumbent's location. 




  • Organize, facilitate, and deliver technical training globally using various delivery modalities.
  • Prepare training and reference materials for consumption via various mediums such as webinar, ILT, VILT, eLearning, videos, blended learning, simulations, micro-learning, and written content delivered via SharePoint, PDF, and similar methods.
  • Establish metrics and tracking mechanisms to build accountability, assess training effectiveness, measure results, evaluate trends, and optimize the impact of training and development programs that will drive productivity, increase morale and engagement.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders including Product Management, Engineering, HR, Sales, Implementation, Customer Service and Marketing on Shipwire product features, bugs, enhancements, and roadmap items.
  • Conduct needs analyses by meeting with the business leadership to identify gaps and propose effective solutions that build on employee competencies within the business.
  • Manage technical knowledgebase including how-to articles, known issues, bugs and workarounds
  • Other projects as required by Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree in Training and Development (or similar field) or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of technical training experience, preferably with a SaaS company
  • Experience with learning development tools and delivery solutions (e.g., Articulate 360, RISE, Captivate, Camtasia, Snag-It, SharePoint, LMS systems, etc.)
  • Experience delivering engaging and interactive training programs using online conferencing tools such as MS Teams, Zoom, etc.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
  • Good technical documentation skills
  • Ability to analyze and drive operational efficiency and improvements
  • Passion for providing exemplary customer service
  • Eager to learn new technologies
  • Professional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated and proactive in performing duties

  • Able to travel to deliver training on-site if necessary



  • Professional certifications in learning and development (CPTD, APTD, etc.)
  • Experience working with eCommerce and supply chain services
