Our Legal team based in Ashby de la Zouch are looking to recruit a meticulous and forward-thinking Senior Legal Counsel where you provide legal advice across our UKI business with a particular focus on supporting the senior leadership team in the negotiation of complex commercial contracts.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the UKI Legal Director, you will work in conjunction with crucial stakeholders to determine the strategy, approach and management of complex commercial matters, including recommendations and decisions. You will draft, review and lead on negotiations for a large variety of commercial contracts and documentation for all CEVA product lines.
You will provide advice and guidance on compliance with statutory and other regulations, assess and advise on legal liabilities issues, mitigate legal risks and instruct, manage and supervise on external legal counsels where appropriate reducing external legal spend. You will provide training on legal regulatory matters and business rules and maintain up to date knowledge of all relevant legislation, case law, codes of practice and policy.
In addition, you will provide assistance to the Global Legal Function and Legal Director as required, including working alongside and supervising other members of the legal department.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in your application you will be a qualified solicitor or barrister with significant experience within commercial law, skilled in negotiating and drafting complex legal arrangements and experienced in executing complex projects that require input of multifunctional teams, therefore experience of working within a complex or multi-site environment would be ideal. You will have exception working knowledge of corporate and commercial law, with the ability to understand and interpret complexities within case law and statutory regulations.
It goes without saying that you will be an excellent communicator able to build vital relationships internally and externally. You will be a self-starter, natural problem solver and logical thinker with a proactive approach and strong commercial awareness.
