Ocean Operational Controller

Are you known for taking actions that allow the organization to capture revenue/cost within expected periods? Are you passionate about the timeliness of filing closings? If so, we have an opportunity that would allow you to manage the operational controls and be accountable for overall financial KPIs on file closings for the US Central Country’s Ocean product.



  • Monitor unbilled reports and work with respective parties to action.
  • Monitor and follow-up on DPOSP05, DOSP06 and QLCRVO reports.
  • Review high profit/high losses files.  Follow-up on and ensure action with any loss files.
  • Action the deletion of cost reserves when required.
  • Comply with operational accounting SOP’s; update/create SOP’s where required.
  • Monitor and follow-up on financial file closings.
  • Additional responsibilities as required by organization or system changes



  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or minimum of five years related experience.  Industry experience preferred.
  • Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications. Exceptional numerical, and analytical skills. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Characteristics: Ability to allocate work assignments; Demonstrated experience in managing the financial aspects of a department; Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; Must be able to work under pressure; Must work well with others/be a team player; Uncompromised integrity and work ethic
