The NORTAM Legal Department of CEVA Logistics is seeking a Contract Manager excited to learn about contracts, negotiations, and the business of transportation and logistics. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain exposure to business decisions and meaningfully impact the profitability of the Region. The successful candidate will enjoy being on the phone, learning new things, and a fast-paced environment.  


As Contract Manager, you will be directly engaged in negotiating a variety of transportation and other agreements affecting our various product lines with a focus on Air, Ocean, and Ground. You will also work with the commercial team on the implementation of the contract administration function.


You will be a self-starter who can quickly learn CEVA’s commercial touchpoints and practices, identify and negotiate issues in a practical manner, and find opportunities to collaborate well in a cross-functional global organization.


This role is based out of CEVA’s Houston, TX office and reports to the Senior Contract Manager, NORTAM Legal Department. You will be joining a close-knit, collaborative, and fun commercial team that has a strong history of internal promotion and you will gain global exposure.



  • Serve as primary support for Business Development in review and negotiation of transportation agreements, as well as a variety of other contracts such as NDAs
  • Support Procurement in review and negotiation of a variety of procurement agreements
  • Support the contract or opportunity owner (such as BD or Operations as the case may be) to ensure business transactions are aligned with Product Owner goals and developed in a well-reasoned manner with appropriate risk mitigation.
  • Manage the approval and execution process
  • Serve as liaison between Legal and other corporate functions such as Commercial Finance
  • Pragmatically resolve contract issues
  • Support all aspects of the organization’s contract administration function from contract creation through to execution and storage in our contract management system.
  • Assist in training the organization on contracting best practices, commercial guidelines, and our contract management systems and processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



  • Undergraduate degree preferred, Associate’s degree required
  • 3-5 years professional experience in logistics or another fast-paced environment
  • Advanced ability to read, analyze an interpret contracts and respond practically to issues
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Desire to learn, build relationships, and ability to adapt in a dynamic industry
