National Transload Facility Manager

YOUR ROLE


Develop and run a startup operation of a new cross dock transload facility in the Southern California region and other possible future locations, plan, prioritize, and manage all operational activities; Establish controls and processes to achieve an efficient transload operation that meets the company’s goals and profit levels, and assist to manage overall operations of transloads in CEVA designated facilities as well as CEVA outsourced partner facilities.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
 

  • Work with management and engineers to design a new transload facility
  • Establish operational procedure, processes, and safety rules within facilities
  • Develop and maintain high service levels for internal and external customers
  • Access and prioritize scope of work based on time sensitivity and available resources
  • Support new business growth and development within the facilities
  • Assist in vetting and managing outsourced vendor operations
  • Develop strategies to streamline processes and reduce cost
  • Developing and running an efficient transload facility(s)
  • Running a profitable transload program/facilities 
  • Ensure effective scope of work and standard operating procedures are in place
  • Prepare records, reports, and make recommendations for action and/or correction
  • Report key performance metrics to management

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s Degree in General Business Preferably Logistics/supply chain
  • Minimum three years supervisory or managerial experience required.
  • Industry experience in a warehouse or distribution center

Preferred

  • Three to five years experience in a warehouse or distribution center management

 

Required Skills:  

  • Active knowledge of cross dock transload operations
  • Preferred: Proficiency with WMS systems and transportation applications

 

Characteristics:

  • In-depth knowledge of all product and services
  • Basic understanding and experience in project management methodologies
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop appropriate solutions.
