A sustainable approach
Over recent decades growing concern about environmental damage has led our customers to take steps to reduce and manage their own environmental impact.
According to the report ‘Supply Chain Decarbonization’, produced by the World Economic Forum in January 2009, 5.5% of the total 50,000 mega tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions are contributed by the logistics and transport sector.
More recently attention has shifted to managing the environmental impact of the full product life-cycle, including supply chain activities. In addition, governments and other regulators are increasingly focussing on regulation to counterbalance the adverse impact of our industry and to internalize the external costs of transport and logistics activities.
CEVA sustainability statement
We demonstrate our commitment to sustainability by taking a practical business approach to it. We develop creative, sustainable solutions that deliver strategic business opportunities for our customers, while benefiting society and the environment.
We have adopted a company-wide sustainability program that aims to reduce our environmental impact, especially carbon emissions. It includes:
- business travel
- transport operations
- warehouse operations
The program is founded on CEVA values and character and is closely aligned with other programs and activities that reflect our commitment to corporate social responsibility, such as diversity and inclusion, talent development and minority rights.
Meeting the business case
We recognize the business and social benefits of a sound environmental policy. Our sustainability program is characterized by activities that deliver real business benefits.
