CEVA Logistics is a global business with significant operations in Europe, Middle East, Africa, North and South America, Asia and Australia. John Pattullo, CEO, heads CEVA and a team of highly talented and experienced regional Chief Operating Officers and functional leaders who support him:
President - Americas and Global Freight Management - Joe Bento
Joe joined EGL in 1992 where he played a key role in the company’s record growth. As the company’s top sales executive, Joe quickly graduated to station, region and then corporate management positions, including President and Chief Marketing Officer. As President, Joe managed EGL’s top 50 global customers accounting for USD1 billion in revenue. He was appointed to his current role in August 2007.
Chief Information Officer & Group HR Director - Peter Dew
Prior to joining CEVA in April 2008, Peter had spent his career with the BOC Group; he became Chief Information Officer there in 1998. When BOC was acquired by the Linde Group in 2006, Peter became the CIO of the combined entity. Peter assumed responsibility for HR in April 2009.
President - Asia Pacific - Vittorio Favati
With over 24 years of industry experience and 16 years with EGL and now CEVA, Vittorio has held various national, regional and international executive positions across the business. Upon the completion of CEVA’s acquisition of EGL, Vittorio was tasked to lead the combined organization in Asia Pacific and became the first region to fully integrate both the freight management and contract logistics businesses.
Chief Finance Officer - Rubin McDougal
Rubin spent 23 years at the Whirlpool Corporation in a variety of financial and strategic roles across the globe, culminating in two years as Vice President Finance for North America. In 2006 he became CFO at Case New Holland, before joining CEVA in July 2009.
Chief Legal Officer - Dana O’Brien
After graduating from law school and spending one year clerking at the Supreme Court of Texas, Dana started work as Corporate Associate for Weil, Gotshal and Manges, LLP. In 1999, she joined Quanta Services, Inc. and was appointed VP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Quanta in 2001 and served in that capacity until joining EGL in 2005 as General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary. She assumed her current role following the merger in 2007.
Chief Executive Officer - John Pattullo
John spent most of his early career working in supply chain management with Procter & Gamble. In 2005, John joined Exel, where he was CEO of the €6 billion EMEA division (freight forwarding and contract logistics). When Exel was acquired by Deutsche Post/ DHL, he then ran the €7 billion combined Exel and DHL contract logistics business in EMEA. He became CEO in August 2007.
Chief Operating Officer - Matt Ryan
Matt joined CEVA in July, 2009. Until the end of 2008 he was Executive VP of World Wide Operations and Logistics at Flextronics International. He brings with him experience of nearly 15 years from Flextronics, where he ran end-to-end contract manufacturing and logistics operations generating revenues in excess of $20B. He has a wealth of operational, supply chain and service focused experience.
President - Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa - Gianfranco Sgro
Gianfranco started his professional career in 1992 with TNT’s Express and Mail divisions. In 1994 he joined the team that set up Fiat spare parts unit in Italy and Europe and subsequently established TNT Automotive Logistics in Italy, France, Spain and the UK. In 1995 he established TNT Logistics Brazil and in 1999, he was appointed President and Managing Director of TNT Logistics South America. After returning to Italy (2003) he was appointed Managing Director of TNT Logistics Italy and South America and assumed his current role in August 2007
President - Northern Europe - Bruno Sidler
Bruno joined EGL as President of Europe, Middle East and Africa in February 2007. Prior to this, he had spent the majority of his 30 year career in the transportation industry with Panalpina World Transport in a variety of management functions and countries. In 1998 he was appointed CEO for the entire Panalpina group, a €6 billion global freight forwarding business. He was appointed to his current role at the end of 2007.
Chief Business Development Officer - Coen van der Maarel
For more than 20 years, Coen has held various roles across the industry, including the Royal Nedlloyd Group, ABX Logistics, DHL Exel Supply Chain and Christian Salvesen Group. Coen joined CEVA in 2008 to head up the Global Retail and Consumer sector and his role was expanded in 2009 when he was assigned responsibility for global Business Development activities. He joined the Executive Board in the summer of 2009.
Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Vice President, United States/Mexico - Greg Weigel
Greg has more than 23 years of experience within the transportation and logistics industry. He joined EGL in 1997 and progressed through to the position of Chief Operating Officer. He assumed his current role in late 2008.
