São Paulo, Brazil, 13 August, 2009 – CEVA Logistics, a leading global supply chain management company, has scooped six awards at the first Infraero logistics efficiency awards ceremony, held on 11 August. The awards, hosted by Infraero (the official airport administration company), were supported by the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (FIESP).
The awards are designed to commend organizations that have excelled in operational efficiency at the cargo terminal of the International Airport of São Paulo/Guarulhos.
The awards included different categories with criteria based on Guarulhos International Airport’s Ranking of Logistics Efficiency 2008, with one of the main metrics being the elapsed time for moving cargo out of the airport. In addition to winning the Freight Forwarder and Customs Broker awards, CEVA was also awarded prizes for its work with Dell (Normal Recof category) and Tyco Electronics (Technology category) for both Customs Clearance and Freight Forwarding.
According to Eduardo Rampani, Freight Management Director, CEVA Logistics, Brazil:“CEVA is very pleased to be at the top of the efficiency rankings. None of this would have been possible without the support of the customers themselves and the fact that they nominated us for this award”..
“Being recognized as a top performer and winning six awards at such a prestigious event, fits with our mission of becoming the most admired company in the industry”.
