15 September 2008, Houston, Texas - As you are aware, Hurricane Ike made landfall on the Southeast Texas coast early Saturday morning devastating Houston and the surrounding areas. We have worked diligently over the past 24 hours and are pleased to inform you that as of Monday, September 15th power has been restored and CEVA's Freight Management Headquarters and freight forwarding facilities in the Houston area are now fully operational and supporting customer needs. However, due to power outages affecting nearly 2 million residents in the Houston area, we will suspend residential deliveries through Sunday, September 21st. Customers who want to pick up shipments at our facility at 15350 Vickery Drive in Houston can do so but must call in advance to ensure cargo is available.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we worked through a very difficult situation. Please contact your local CEVA office or account executive for any specific updates or requirements you may have. Communications in the Houston area are still heavy so please utilize land line, email or text messaging when possible. We will continue to update our website at www.cevalogistics.com with any updates that may affect our operations.
