CEVA teams up with Tesco in Malaysia

CEVA Logistics Malaysia, a subsidiary of CEVA Logistics - the world's 4th largest global supply chain provider - was appointed by Tesco Stores Malaysia to manage the cross dock operations and nationwide distribution. Tesco is Malaysia's fastest growing retailer and by the end of 2008 will have 27 stores nationwide.

Tesco Malaysia Supply Chain & Information Technology Director, Vivian Chang, commented that "Tesco chose CEVA based on their extensive Malaysian retail experience. CEVA provides a fresh, collaborative and scaleable solution which meets the fluctuations of a retail environment. CEVA's experience with Makro, which was acquired by Tesco Malaysia in December 2006, also played an important role in our decision."

CEVA Logistics will manage the operation on a 24/7 basis throughout the whole year. Greg O'Shea, Country Manager CEVA Logistics Malaysia said: "We are excited to be working with Tesco Malaysia and assisting with their aggressive and rapid expansion. This contract builds on our significant global relationship with Tesco and reinforces our strong retail experience in Malaysia".
