JACKSONVILLE, Florida USA, 13 February - CEVA Logistics, a leading provider of global supply chain logistics services, has hired three new business development executives to meet the growing market demand for contract logistics: Tamara, Histand, Rick Allen and David Eaton.
Tamara Histand has been hired as director of global automotive accounts, based in Southfield, Michigan. In her new role, Histand will support the company's business development initiatives where automotive customers require global supply chain solutions. Prior to joining CEVA, Histand spent six years with Ford Motor Company in a variety of progressive roles, including IT strategy and planning manager, supply chain manager, and transportation and export manager. Before that, she was a senior manager with Deloitte Consulting for seven years and spent nine years with GE Aircraft Engines in manufacturing development, spare parts engineering and maintenance cost engineering. Histand received both Bachelor and Master degrees in Industrial Engineering from Rutgers, and received her MBA from the University of Cincinnati.
Rick Allen has joined CEVA as business development director for automotive in Nashville, Tennessee. Allen brings 15 years of global experience in multiple disciplines, driving cross-functional process improvements with particular strengths in transportation, warehousing, inventory planning and supply chain software. Prior to joining CEVA, Allen was director of global logistics strategy for Cummins Filtration. Before that, he was sales consultant with i2 Technologies, supply chain engineer and logistics analyst with MagneTek, and transportation management software consultant for Manugistics. Allen received his Bachelor of Science degree in logistics and transportation from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and is also a certified Six Sigma Sponsor and Green Belt.
David Eaton has been hired as business development director, located in the Chicago, Illinois area. In his new role, Eaton will be responsible for developing new business opportunities with current and existing accounts in non-automotive sectors. Eaton comes to CEVA after a 17-year stint with Ryder System. At Ryder, he served in several key sales, finance, and operations roles, including, warehouse general manager, senior finance manager, group logistics manager, manager of area logistics and - most recently - field finance director. His cross-section of sector experience includes automotive, retail, food, commercial paper, manufacturing and heavy equipment. Eaton received his Bachelor of Science degree in organization management and economics from Illinois State University.
