A growing Haier Europe opts for CEVA Logistics

The electronics giant signs a stock management contract with CEVA

Milan, 3 July 2008 - CEVA Logistics, one of the leading supply chain companies in the world, consolidates its place in the home electronics sector with a new contract signed with Haier Europe, marketing and sales coordinator in 17 European countries for the Haier Group, the world's fourth largest producer of domestic appliances and home technology.

CEVA has dedicated 4,000 square meters of warehouse space to Haier for the handling of over 40,000 items per year at its Cortemaggiore (Piacenza) base, where CEVA will monitor goods acceptance, order preparation and product shipping operations. The contract involves the management of white domestic appliances (e.g. refrigerators and washing machines) and air-conditioning units. The services to be provided by CEVA include all stock flow management: inbound transportation from the Haier warehouse in Campodoro (Pordenone province), package storage and handling and the distribution of Haier products throughout Italy.

The Haier Group, with 50,000 employees and 240 associate companies, official sponsor of the Beijing 2008 Olympics, is present on markets throughout the world with products ranging from white domestic appliances to TVs and DVD players, cell phones to air-conditioners. Italy is. The Group's European base is in Italy, an important market for Haier , and the country is also main fridge-freezer producer for the entire European market.
