US Customs and Border Protection is expected to issue a final rule on the ImporterSecurityFiling (commonly referred to as "10+2") initiative in the next few months. The proposed rule requires an importer to electronically file a number of data elements pertaining to every shipment prior to export to the US.
As this new security filing will support an improved security environment, it will also create changes to our current alert processes. CEVA is diligently working with customers and the trade community to develop solutions that will help minimize any impact to the supply chain as implementation begins.
