CEVA Logistics accredited as Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) in the Czech Republic by the European Union

Prague, The Czech Republic, February 17th 2009 - CEVA Logistics, a leading global supply chain management company, today announced it has achieved the status as an Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) in the Czech Republic. CEVA is one of the first companies in the Czech Republic to earn this important European certification.

The AEO directive constitutes a main element of the Customs Security Program of the European Union. With the implementation of the status as an Authorised Economic Operator on January 1st 2008, the European Union has agreed on improved measures of security in combination with simplified customs procedures. Through the demonstration of CEVA's process and procedures, CEVA now benefits from a series of enhanced customs checks and a reduction in compulsory registrations.
