Subirats, 15 June 2009 - CEVA Logistics, one of the world's leading supply chain management companies, has received the SOS Aldeas Infantiles (Children's Village) Award, in Barcelona, Spain. The award recognizes CEVA's partnership with the Non Governmental Organization which is active in the field of children's rights in 132 countries. Aldeas' focus is on children without parental care and on children from families in difficult circumstances. During the ceremony in the Chronicle Lounge of Barcelona's Town Hall, the efforts of all companies that contribute to social integration were recognized. CEVA's recognition was awarded by Ricard Gomà, Deputy Mayor of Social Action and Citizenship in Barcelona and Francisco Javier Martin Burillo, President of Aldees Infantils SOS. CEVA is proud to support the work done by SOS Aldeas Infantiles, collaborating with several different projects carried out by the NGO. Thanks to the work of the NGO since 1949, hundreds of thousands of children have been able to rediscover their childhood, build a future and integrate into society around the planet. CEVA is also committed to respecting environmental and social values. The Company has, for example, been a Partner Builder of the future in Spain since 2008. Additionally, the logistics operator collaborates with the NGO InterLibros, by providing free storage space for books which are to be sent to various educational projects in Latin America.

About Aldeas Infantiles SOS
Aldeas infantiles is a NGO that hosts children in a risk or abandonment situation in "Villages" - social and educational communities - composed of a group of houses. In each house they live together as a large family, about 9 children, regardless of their age but always privileging fraternal bond. The goal is to reproduce a family environment so that life in the village is as close to any other child's as it can be, including promoting their participation in activities appropriate to their age. This is possible thanks to the figure of a permanent "adoptive mother", who raises and lives together with the children she is responsible for, giving them emotional and physical stability. Moreover, the commitment of Aldeas to the children goes beyond their full age by looking after the child until their total autonomy and integration into Society. Aldeas Infantiles, with 172,000 members in Spain, is a member of the UNESCO, present in 132 countries, and in Spain and Portugal supports about 3000 children from 11 Villages distributed in Spain between Barcelona, Cuenca, Las Palmas, Madrid, Granada, Zaragoza, Tenerife and Pontevedra as well as in Portugal between Lisboa, Guardia and Oporto. In 2008 we championed the proposal that Aldeas worked in San Lorenzo del Escorial, as well as Sant Feliu de Codines.(Barcelona) - For more information please visit: www.aldeasinfantiles.es
