Farnborough 2016

The scale of the event means there is a 12 week build period on the showground which presents unique and complex challenges as over 1,500 exhibitors from more than 50 countries take delivery and set up their stands ready to welcome more than 100,000 visitors from around the world in the first week of July.

At the 2016 event we introduced our award-winning Vehicle Recognition System (VRS) to the event to provide 100% visibility of traffic flows and vehicle movements on-site. This proved to be a tremendous innovation which improved service levels and enhanced the visitor experience.

“I was extremely impressed with the performance, professionalism and cooperation, it tested us to new limits and CEVA delivered and demonstrated that above all, they will do whatever is necessary to ensure our visitors safety comes before everything. I know I say it a lot but I am glad to have you all in our 'trench'.”
Andy Coulson, Head of Operations, Farnborough International

Scale ….. Farnborough is BIG

The show includes more than 100,000 sq meters of display space and the temporary structures within in it are some of the largest in the UK. CEVA Showfreight manages multiple technical projects during the show set up and for its duration when open to visitors.

In addition, we move, lift and position aircraft engines and we have the capability to build full-scale replica aircraft for exhibitors. We can organize reinforced concrete floors to make them capable of load-bearing for large exhibits and we can operate cranes to remove roof panels from temporary structures when items need to be lowered in from above and throughout this, in conjunction with the local police we parked more than 40,000 cars in the public open weekend alone.

CEVA is big enough and experienced enough to cope. Our Showfreight team delivers, on time, every time.
